Corporation Street

Corporation street in Leeds, is part of a wider partnership agreement between Accent Foundation and Esh Property Services to deliver 96 new homes across 3 sites at a value in excess of £8 million.

Corporation Street has seen the demolition of an existing 2 storey council depot replaced with 22 flats built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.

Cleaning down locally quarried stone and salvaging as much slate from the existing building, has allowed us to create and maintain a natural look for the building.

The new homes were named Kirkness Court, in memory of Lance Corporal David Kirkness, a local soldier to the area who was killed on active service in Afghanistan in 2009. The official opening event was held in February and guests included members of the soldier’s family and regiment, along with new residents and many others.
