Esh Property services supports new football team
Cowgate United Football team sports DPS strip
Cowgate United has been formed as part of a joint initiative by Newcastle City Council, Your Homes Newcastle and Northumbria Police with support from Esh Property Services.
The team is made up of young men from the Cowgate area. To be entitled to take part they must sign up to the Cowgate United Contract which requires that team members:
- Train every Monday and Wednesday
- Pick litter, help with graffiti removal and carry out other jobs to improve the Cowgate Estate area at least once a month.
In return team members become eligible for selection for a 5-a side under 17’s league at Soccer World each Saturday.
A zero tolerance policy has been agreed by the group; team members involved in crime or anti social behaviour automatically exclude themselves from any football activities for the following week or longer.
