The scheme involved the demolition of existing flats and construction of 12 properties designed to a high standard of energy- saving measures.
The homes were designed by Esh Property Services partnering architect, HMH Architects.
The scheme is notable for two reasons, it was the first Housing Hartlepool project to be completed to the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and it was the first in the North East, where the Homes and Community Agency grant funding was accessed by the developer, Esh Property Services.
The scheme was completed three weeks ahead of programme and achieved a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions over building regulation requirements.
